That plan!

   So much for Christ=insanity!
What would you add? Oh, Moses' Folly [no Moses!] has all that cruelty for which to answer.
And Muhammad's Fits has its share of  misanthropy!

Religion on the decline!

The previous essay shows how the religious can misinterpret the evidence instead of giving evidence for their quackery!
We gnus just want to participate as people using the conservation- background- of knowledge that insists that the God-notion contradicts that knowledge. He is a superfluity, a superstition.
One  big distressing manner is how some other atheists would have us soft peddle knowledge!
They don't advocate soft-pedaling knowledge against the paranormal. What an inconsistency of little minds!
The spurious argument and apologetics are  enough to make me a gnu. Add the harms. And the fact that any good due to any religion , people can find elsewhere wthout  the carnage of bad apologetics. Aesop's  Fables depend on experience, not faith and do not reqire people to believe or -else!
Gnu atheism is indeed on the march! We mean to take on the superstition of  religion with modern means.
I dedicate this blog to my fellow gnu atheists and - to the public!

Hell

The previous essay gives one reason why I am a gnu atheist! Only a  pathological mind could produce such a dogma! The writers who  brag about Hell just made it up from their meaningless, morbid misanthropy. They all deserve contempt! How they have tortured others!
Nothing will ever punish them for their cruelty. We rationalists hope that this dogma will exert less and less its ugliness as time goes by.
Ti's not the genetic fallacy to find this dogma hateful f rom their misanthropy but hateful in itself.
Yes, no evidence appears for Hell and none for God.
Those misanthropes  just made up things as they desired. They had no concern for evidence, as most people were and are superstitious and thus, this superstition could influence many. It has no more reality than the fear of black cats crossing paths has!
Other versions of Hell also merit derision! The annihilationist view is that at the judgment day, God will annihilate the evil ones. Why not just let them stay dead?
John Hick tells us that why, Yeshua just wanted to use this as a metaphor to urge people to do good. What a rationalization by the late Hick, that ever-ready rationalizer!
What makes you a gnu atheist should  you be one? Is the dogma of Hell sufficient? Do you dissent?

Alain de Boton is no gnu atheist but his suggestions reflect reality for everyone. He's  the don't upset the superstitious type.
I'm glad that that theist blog found the suggestions good without throwing a fit about atheists cannot ground their morality, no matter how moral they are and they live off ours.
I  can entertain suggestions from the religious but use reason to check them out.
What would be good suggestions for all to follow?

Problems for Purgatory

Problems for Purgatory

Hell- twaddle!

How theologians go from quicksand to quicksand, ever rationalizers of stupidity! No reason exists for annihilation when regular death suffices.
No evidence exists for the Devil and Hell! A just God would not let any devil tempt us.
We have no obligation to worship putative God anyway. His simple subjectivism is evil.
Thus, we gnu atheists have the right to educate others about the absurdities of religion!
We need no religious expiation; we expiate for ourselves. Blood sacrifice of one is just as barbaric in principle as that of the many!
Reason saves us from following the barbarity of Christ=insanity!

Cook makes the most commendable points  that might does not make right and and that such actions would be most immoral. Yet, he fails to see that that might lies behind any defense and theodicy to exonerate supposed God of permitting evil. He's have no right to judge and punish us anyway!
That's the Achilles heel of theism! We are independent beings, owing nothing to God, who Himself would owe us a better situation: that's the one-way street that Fr. Meslier's the problem of Heaven lays on Him!
So, he takes the better  horn of  the Euthyphro dilemma. He cannot, establish that His nature is good any more than Aquinas, as that begs the question and  so, still cannot avoid the dilemma!http://cohansalley.wordpress.com

Again, theologians go from one quicksand to another!

Hell - evil

That author can blather about annihilation being the end for the wiked. It should not exist in any form. God as my previous essay notes has no rights  over us.
Yes, such as Pol Pot and Hitler would just stay dead. No need to resurrect them to annihilate them! Twaddle!
Unbelief would not be immoral but instead moral as no evidence exists for Him anyway!
Theologians go from one quicksand to another!
A good  God would never permit a devil to tempt people anyway.
Evangelicalism has no reason to exist!
Yeshua sure loves to prattle about Hell, no matter  how construed. No, that is no way to impress upon people the need to be moral. Such threat stems from barbarism!
What is your take on Hell?

The same old evangelicalism in died clothes!

Evangelicals already speak enough; we, their opponents need to speak up more! That evangelist is just another traditional values fool for Christ.
Anti-homosexuality is  prejudice and bigoted; it flies against the evidence, and it's not their  business to tell us bisexuals and homosexuals how to live!
We gnus find such so repulsive; it runs head long into morality, and falls down as immorality.
And that business about roles for men and women falls down also as immorality.
Humanist morality depends on our evolved  moral sense refined, so we humanists, using reason and real facts find that bi- and homosexuality are moral.
No anthropogenic - man made- nonsense influences us. That immorality stems from the imaginations of miserable, mean-spirited misanthropes! That is an egregious simple subjectivism. Simple subjectivism in the hands of thoughtful people can be just fine.
Study previous essays about covenant morality for humanity- the presumption of humanism to see how I blend what I call wide- reflective subjectivism with objective morality.
Through discussions, we try to get each other to a better sense of morality. We humanists can try to  get through to the more reflective evangelicals.
Putative God, speaking with a forked tongue, all those contradictory sects would  amount to a cacophony of discordant voices, each claiming to be His divine command morality!
A blanket overall  for all sects divine command morality would mean nothing.
All scriptures fail to meet our glory!
God would have no right over us anyway! This goes to the heart of theism- its might makes right and His putative omniscience!
Theologians just beg the question of that omniscience! Why, four year olds know that evil is wrong, so that His putative omniscience is less than theirs and thus, the greater good and the unknown defense arguments are arguments from ignorance!
No, their proselytization is to get people to self-brainwash!
         What do you think?

Life and meaning

Our lives have whatever meaning we want to make for them. Mine  includes helping others overcome their superstitions of  the supernatural and the paranormal, what Paul Kurtz calls " The Transcendental Temptation,"  a must read book. Kurtz ever pleas for exuberance.
Haughty John Haught can ever prattle that why, atheists who see pellucidly  the consequence of atheism acknowledge that ti's bleak. No, they would make a non-sequitur: that Nature gives us no meaning and purpose thus, we have none. John-Paul Sartre, one of those atheists, himself advocates our making our own meanings and purposes
Thus, Haught muddies the waters to malign atheism.
Franciso Jose Ayala claims without evidence that we need God to assuage us of  existential angst- the feeling that we just don't have a reason to live without Him and that He^ grounds our values. No!.
To overcome that angst, get counseling. We ground our own values!
This one life and our own human purposes and values and humans love suffice; divine  purpose for us and divine love and the future state cannot ground them.
As He speaks with a forked tongue- all  the thousands of sects claim contradictory views such that none can claim anything about His real meaning. Indeed, our argument from the multiplicity of religions reflect those sects contradictions!

At sixteen, I had no existential angst to need Him: did he or did He not exist. He doesn't, and my life was the same. Decades later, therapy helped me  to overcome angst, not Sky Pappy!
We rationalists do fathom theistic angst about becoming godless; people need our counseling. We ever need to meet theistic arguments and their scriptural claims, but our counseling has to go forth! And philosophy and science without emotional input doesn't suffice We ought to  mock their absurdities as Jefferson admonishes us to mock the absurd.
"Life is its own validation and reward and ultimate meaning to which neither God nor the future  state can further validate.' Inquiring Lynn

          ^ Ayala

Life and meaning

We are free beings who putative God nothing, whilst  He'd face that one-way that Fr. Meslier's the problem of Heaven announces- to put us into a better place in the first place! We are not His " things" to which He as our potter gives purpose!
We make our own meanings and purposes. One of mine is to help others overcome that superstition of religion!
What a blasphemy of humanity to aver that we need Him  for giving us purpose! We'd owe putative God nothing!
Haughty John Haught prattles that serious atheists do find life absurd and forlorn without Hm. What an  unfounded stereotype to hang like the sword of Damocles over us! John -Paul Sartre himself  cries out for our making our  natures with whatever meanings and purpose we want. Sartre    and others do not see pellucidly that forlornness and absurdity of life. That we have no celestial purpose does not mean we cannot have our own, Again, we are not things to which God has to give purpose!

In " Darwin and Intelligent Design," theistic evolutionist,, Francisco Jose Ayala prattles that He grounds our values. No1 With His  forked tongue,His thousands of sects that so disagree about values cannot , He can ground nothing! He is only what those who just made Him up prattle!
Years before he claimed that we need Him to assuage our existential angst, Augustine's argument from angst that without Him we are too restless and that we need Him for purpose and love and the future state; no, we seek therapy when faced with that angst, and our own human purposes and human love and this one life suffice.
William lane Craig, whines that why, without  Him, we'd so suffer. He cannot provide evidence for that prattles. He uses rhetorical tricks to suggest that.
So  much then for that unfounded stereotypical expression of what atheism really means!
" Life is its own validation and reward and ultimate meaning to which neither God nor the future state can further validate.' Inquiring Lynn
Are that kind of theist who would have that existential angst and feeling of forlornness were you without God? Why ? Are you one of those " serious " atheists who feel the  same? Why?
No need exists to warrant worship anyway! Putative God has no rights over us, no right to judge and punish us!
This gnu atheist cries out thereby against the heart of theism! He dares to claim that as a moral fact! Morality  cries out that ti's what is right for sentient beings, not divinity that rules! No divine right for divine rights exist!
Why would one want to worship anyway, and anyway, rational and - moral beings reject  worship of themselves- no cult of personality rues! Worship  implies giving obeisance to the celestial tyrant!
We need not worship to find meaning.

Jared Diamond: It’s irrational to be religious - Salon.com

Jared Diamond: It’s irrational to be religious - Salon.com

Luther-that evil one!

Martin Luther was an evil man. He lied about the Jews and was a notorious Judeophobe as a previous  essay here notes. He sided with the nobles rather than with the legitimate complaints of the peasants.
He commands the use of  irrationality as he urges the destruction of reason! He substituted one set of dogmas for another. He hardly endorses freedom of religion.
Lutherans should want to change the name of their sect!

Libby Ann,yes!

Yes, that is how those Christians view us apostates!
At, sixteen, I knew enough to become an atheist. I could not accept doctrines about Hell.
What they really want is for apostates and others to brainwash themselves to become Christians. They cannot even imagine that the truth might say no to them!
They indict themselves with their arguments from happiness- purpose and Augustine's from angst: they unwittingly confirm what we naturalists say about why they really believe their woo., and thus we make no genetic fallacy, albeit some of the arguments might fail for other reasons.
Contrary to what some atheists maintain, beliefs can be voluntary as when people just want to believe just as S[arah] E[lizabeth] Cupp wants someday to believe. Had she deep knowledge about atheism, she wouldn't want to believe.
Why would any rational  person want to worship anyway? We have no reason to do so! Putative God would have no right to command worship and - wouldn't want it anyway!
I contemn worship as a travesty! This exposes theism as valuing a celestial tyrant!

Guth,yes; WLC,no!

Guth belies the fancy William Lane Craig   puts forward that science now retrodicts a finite universe with the probable fact that we inhabit a Multiverse with universes after uiniverses coming and going.
Craig points out in debates the quantum fields are beeming with energy pulses, but he overlooks that they are whence come universes.
He not only makes a God of the  scientific gaps but also one of the explanatory one with his Kalam! That was the scientific one.
Also, because he conflates  the properties of finite mathematics with those of infinite mathematics, finding then false contradictions trying to show that infinity is impossible, such that his hotel and library examples bespeak a fondness for red herrings!
He also fail with the God of the explanatory gap, because the idea of a personal explanation is just that of reduced animism = theism, and just as superstitious as full animism!
He uses false evidence for a philosophical argument with  false premises but in his defense of the Resurrection he uses uncorroborated testimony of uncorroborated writers.

Yes,Chatpilot!

Allah and Yahweh are so narcissistic, misanthropic and petulant that they revel in sending people to Hell for not raising their butts into the air to worship them constantly, etc. They suffer from low self- esteem!

We have no need to worship anyway. As Chatpilot notes, a simple thank suffices! Putative God would have no  rights over us as our potter and we as His pottery: He doesn't own us or deserve worship anyway, and no self-respecting being would ever want any! Barbarians came up with this notion on par with praising Near Eastern absolute monarchs.

No divine right for divine rights exists! Such a right would be immoral! Morality binds even Gods!

   Why grovel? Yes, ti's groveling.
Ti's superstitious to pray. Putative answered prayer is post hoc- coincidental, and theists rationalize about unanswered prayer!
As omniscient, He'd know our plight anyway.
Ti's superstitious anyway to find divine intent behind Nature. Theism = reduced animism, and ti's as superstitious as full animism and polytheism in finding supernatural intent. Science finds none, and so to posit the supernatural contradicts science instead of complementing it!
The idea of having to worship reflects barbarism!
Not only do we owe no God anything, He'd owe us a better situation, facing that one-way street of Fr. Meslier' s the problem of Heaven!
This gnu atheist goes thus to the heart of the Abrahamic religions!
